About Engineering – Quotes

“At its heart, engineering is about using science to find creative, practical solutions. It is a noble profession.”
― Queen Elizabeth II

“The well being of the world largely depends upon the work of the engineer. There is a great future and unlimited scope for the profession; new works of all kinds are and will be required in every country, and for a young man of imagination and keenness I cannot conceive a more attractive profession.” ― Sir William Halcrow

“Science can amuse and fascinate us all, but it is engineering that changes the world.” ― Isaac Asimov

“Engineering is a great profession. There is the satisfaction of watching a figment of the imagination emerge through the aid of science to a plan on paper. Then it moves to realization in stone or metal or energy. Then it brings homes to men or women. Then it elevates the standard of living and adds to the comforts of life. This is the engineer's high privilege.” ― Herbert Hoover

“Science is about what is. Engineering is about what can be.” ― Neil Armstrong
